Arezzo Crowd Festival

Arezzo Crowd Festival was born one year ago from and an idea of Officine Montecristo. The Artistic Committee was created: 70 young people between the age of 18 and 30, coming from all over Italy. The Committee has had the task to decide the artistic aspects (theme, official image, theatre companies participating to the Young Theatre Contest), to organise and promote the festival through free training courses. These courses have helped creating a blog, which now has independent editorial staff, publishing weekly articles about all kinds of subjects. The Crowd Festival completely reverses the standard concept of traditional festivals, since it involves a great number of people, organisations and institutions in the creation of the festival itself. The new audience and emerging artists are in the spotlight, and this has given exceptional results – for it being only the first edition.

4 days, nearly 40 free events – going from visual art exhibitions, literary meetings, performances, concerts. More than 20 partners involved and 4 theatre companies U35 challenging each other on stage during a competition, who would later be judged by a jury. A big feast for Arezzo. A festival made by many. Arezzo Crowd Festival.
